I've also come across that experiment, and it spurred me to write a similar article I otherwise wouldn't've, but I was ultimately unimpressed with the approach used. |

If the machine can't do something in one instruction, a human can review this, but if a solution in two is found, this provides a nice upper bound. Similarly, if a three-instruction sequence is written, that's not proof a pair of instructions wouldn't suffice, but it's not necessarily even important. |
