shinohai: ty! you're doing the lord's work backing this up |
14:57 |
shinohai |
I've got some other segovia stuff I should prolly upload, all mp4 format so can play in own browser if needed. |
14:58 |
whaack |
shinohai: where'd you get it? ripping youtube videos or..? |
15:00 |
shinohai |
yeah i found a link to a yt video on a spanish guitar forum, had never seen that vid before today. |
15:02 |
shinohai |
yt vids being as fickle as they are, best save a copy of stuff i like *shrugs* |

shinohai: yeah, there was some guy who made a video series on spanish phonetics that I found quite useful. He discussed details I haven't found elsewhere, like how to do the trill'd R after an '/s/' from the previous word. (saying las rodillas quickly is more difficult than just "rodillas".) But the videos all vanished : / |
15:29 |
shinohai |
Spanish kinda worked best for me just getting out there and holding conversations in it, never really did videos. |
15:34 |
whaack |
shinohai: weren't you the one who sent me to the butterfly Spanish series? :D |
15:36 |
shinohai |
i don't remember. i remember watching a few videos, then just leaving univison on in background all the time xD |

nice work asciilifeform |
21:12 |
asciilifeform |
shinohai: it's pretty basic atm. |
21:13 |
asciilifeform |
defo needs moar test, and found it difficult to test given as apparently i'm the only (?) one who has the sha512 knob set in ye olde gpg |
21:13 |
asciilifeform |
( saw no reason to make the thing 10x moar complicated to support the even more rubbish ancient hashes like sha1 ) |
21:14 |
asciilifeform |
it ~does~ make finally possible to run a vtron w/ 0 kockiana inside. |

given as it is a sh script, i expect ~someone~ will turn up a sad os where it breaks... |

so as far as peh tapes go, @RSA-Public-Modulus@ is `N` and @RSA-Public-Modulus@ is the exponent correct? |

asciilifeform |
shinohai: mno |
22:49 |
Apocalyptic |
you mean RSA-Public-Exponent for the second right |
22:49 |
asciilifeform |
shinohai: see ch.6 re basic rsa |
22:50 |
asciilifeform |
( or schoolbook ) |
22:51 |
asciilifeform |
rsa sigs in general are computed by taking x = n ^ public_exponent mod public_modulus and comparing x to a specified form, called 'padding' |
22:51 |
asciilifeform |
in the case of gpg, the form is 'pkcs' and is discussed in the proggy comments. |
22:52 |
asciilifeform |
( 'computed' in above, meaning 'verified'. producing the sig is different process, req'd the priv. exponent naturally ) |
22:54 |
asciilifeform |
'n' in the above is the turd obtained from a gpg sig |
22:55 |
asciilifeform |
pkcsism is computed by concatenating certain specified (see rcf4880) liquishit to the sha512 hash of the signed file under consideration. |
22:57 |
asciilifeform |
shinohai, Apocalyptic , and anyone else tuned in -- invited to try the proggy. |
22:59 |
shinohai |
it actually isnt anything difficult after all, pipe 'n' through sed -E 's/(.{70})/\1\n/g' and saved me most of elbowgrease. |
23:00 |

shinohai: post yer pub |

shinohai |
asciilifeform: http://btc.info.gf/paste/f06049@raw |
23:01 |
asciilifeform |
shinohai: it is trickier in the general case, because some folx apparently have been signing with 'subkeys' (and gpg 'helpfully' lies to user, and tells him that he's using '$keyid' regardless) |
