Chaaang-Noi: This FTC 51% is funny. Some dude sits there, with > 50%, has mined like 100 blocks with timestamps bunched around some time in the future. Waits for the time to come, then releases them to the network, orphaning everyone else, making it look like the network has terahashes (coz all the timestamps are close) and collecting all the money! Lots of unhappy people. I guess this is how altcoins die. |
| 01:05 |
Chaaang-Noi |
Neil I doubt its a LTC pool but might be a LTC farm |

Nothing to stop FTC 51%-ers dumping their FTC on an exchange for BTC, then after withdrawing the BTC, remining the whole FTC chain so their deposit at the exchange is invalid. How sad. |

Namworld: They can remine since whenever they care to (given enough time, admittedly) - that's a consequence of having over 50%. They just remine from when they last stopped mining, or from when it's enough to cause lose of confidence (100 blocks should do). |

I'm going to say this now. I'm going to give this whole crazy thing a chance. A post from Todd would go a really long ways and would show us that all is not lost. Im going to put the hurt and anger aside, and I will put my faith in Todd. I'm not going to pressure him and I am just going to pray that this whole mess is worked out and he can get that scammer tag off his name. Todd, I believed in you when you started this |

Chaaang-Noi: The "contract" is so restrictive I wonder what would happen if SDICE gets a couple of big losses and the reserve is wiped out. It's not clear where the money's gonna come from, I don't the contract permits loans, and the contract specifies 100% of profits are distributed, so there's no way to build the reserve up. |

In some later post I also point out how profits would inevitably decline as BTC/USD rises, so it's also a kind of BTC short position |

If he'd thought out the contract better he'd have given SD leeway to retain up to 5% of profits each month to build reserves, at discretion of "the representatives". |
