btw sticky tape, you'll find, is the only practical 1u mount for fg. unless you feel like emptying whole chassis to drill w/out shorting things w/ shavings |
| 20:40 |
asciilifeform |
depending on yer chassis, magnets also can work. |
| 20:42 |
jfw |
I see, and indeed have no better ideas. The tape does seem to have served fine |
| 20:43 |

asciilifeform used high-temp '3m' perma-adhes. |

asciilifeform |
same kind folx used to mount car rearview mirror with. |

jfw: I probably should have shown you how to remove the power supplies when you were in country. No unscrewing required. There's a release lever on the back on them near the plug. They pull out |
| 20:49 |
jfw |
BingoBoingo: on the s.nsa dulaps, you sure? I don't see levers |
| 20:49 |
BingoBoingo |
Sorta off purple bits of plastic? |
| 20:49 |
BingoBoingo |
Maybe orangeish? |
| 20:53 |
BingoBoingo |
On the others there's the little lever/switch, but on those... Maybe I just never had a reason to play with that. |
| 20:53 |
jfw |
still see nothing. I'd expect them on the s.mg servers since they have dual PS, possible to hot-swap |
| 20:55 |
BingoBoingo |
Ah, that could be it |
